Notes:


This tree, located between the Owen and Law Schools, is a large example of water oak. Water oaks are not native to middle Tennessee, although they are found in the southern Cumberland Plateau and in west Tennessee. We don't know much about the history of this particular tree, but it is located near the old Mechanical Engineering building, one of the most historic buildings on campus.
